Holly Kay (Lewis) Ramsey

Holly Kay Ramsey, 73, was born on Feb. 3, 1943, to Jack and Olive Lewis, in San Diego, Calif., and passed away on Jan. 16, 2017, at her home in Prescott, and is now reunited with her beloved husband, Timothy. Holly enjoyed being Captain of Flags at Hoover High School and graduated in 1961. Holly furthered her education at Southwest College, receiving an Associate of Arts in 1971. She then went on to San Diego State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 1977. Her love of learning continued with taking OLLI courses at Yavapai College.

Holly moved to Prescott in 1994 with her husband, Timothy, and opened Ramsey Surveying, Inc. Holly was very proud to be a surveyor with her excellent drafting skills and secretarial skills, and proud to work outside in all types of weather. Holly was the heart and Tim was the soul of Ramsey Surveying. Together they were a magnificent team, both in and out of the office.

Holly enjoyed her lunches at the Grill and dinner out or at her house with friends and family. Her fascination with horses brought her to a caring neighborhood which she adored. Holly loved Prescott, her home, family, and her friends.

Holly is survived by her beloved son, Dale, of San Diego, Calif.; and daughter, Margie, of Chino Valley, Ariz. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Holly was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed.
