David Paul “Corby” Kariotis, 59, quietly passed away at his home in
Lake Havasu City July 27, 2017. He was brave and courageous for
engaging in a prolonged fight with cancer.

His son Christian Kariotis, wife Barbie Kariotis, and parents Paul
Kariotis and Jean Denise Vincent Kariotis predecease David.

He is survived by his wife and partner of 23 years, Phonita Ketcher
Kariotis and is lovingly remembered by his family; sons Jason
Kariotis and his wife Jennifer, of Dix Hills, New York, Adam
Kariotis of Coral Gables, Florida and his daughter Alley Valkyrie of
Rennes, France and grandson Ashton Kariotis. Also his three sisters,
Karen Kariotis Boughton, Kingwood, Texas, Paula Kariotis Cramer,
Wadsworth, Ohio and Kimberly Kariotis Lampshire, Canal Fulton, Ohio.

David was born in Akron; Ohio May 25, 1958. He spent the majority of
his life on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. He was a certified
underwater welder and moved on from that to assist in opening
several businesses on Hilton Head Island as well as take lead
positions in food and beverage establishments along the
Carolina/Florida coast. He also worked part time at Stagerlee’s in
Lake Havasu City.

David was a gentle, generous man and friend to all. He loved
cooking, fishing, boating, motorcycles and traveling with his wife
Phonita. He was the first to show his sons how to juggle, a talent
they both became prolific at and Adam continues on a professional
level.

A memorial celebration is at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
