Ingleside--John Raymond Leasure, 68, passed away quietly in his sleep, the evening of July 1, 2016. He was born in Lansing, MI, on January 8, 1948.

Jon attended Sandwich Community High School, Sandwich, from 1963-1965, and was a 1966 graduate of Washington Community High School, Washington. He went on to graduate in 1971 from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in history and political science and earned a Master of Science in educational administration in 1973.

Jon taught in the Waukegan Public Schools from 1971-1983 at Thomas Jefferson Middle School (Jefferson Junior High School). Following his teaching career, Jon worked in sales management with 3M Corporation and later with Lanier and Cardone Medical Records.

Survivors include his daughters, Dr. Jordan (Will Reigle) Leasure and Dr. Jade (Jared) Dellinger of Libertyville; wife, Eileen Perry of Ingleside; stepson, Ryan (Jerry) Peterson of St. Simons, GA, Tom (Helen) of Porterville, CA, Rick (Bev) of Washington, Jim (Karen) of Hinkley, Gordon (Robin) of Washington, and Kenny (Lana) of Wickenburg, AZ; uncle, Bill (Lorraine) Richardson; and many nieces, nephews, former students, and friends.

Jon was preceded in death by parents, Marge (nee Richardson) and Jim; and by his oldest friend, teacher, and mentor, Hank (Faith) Clark of Waukegan.

Per Jon's request, there will be no formal service. A memorial celebration will be held at a later date.
