Death Claims Mrs. Bernardi

Mrs. Flora Bernardi, Prescott resident for three decades, passed
away at a local hospital last night, following a long illness.

Mrs. Bernardi, who came to this district from her native Italy in
1909, had been in ill health for two years.

The pioneer local resident was born May 30, 1871, near Turin, Italy,
and had lived in the vicinity of the city of her birth for 37 years.

She came to Prescott and was joined in matrimony to Louis Bernardi
32 years ago and obtained United States citizenship five years after
coming to this country.

Mr. and Mrs. Bernardi operated the Arizona hotel here until Mr.
Bernardi's death, September 14, 1933. After her husband passed
away, Mrs. Bernardi continued to manage the establishment until two
years ago, when she retired because of ill health.

She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Mary O'Shea, 206 Congress avenue, and a
granddaughter, Patsy O'Shea.

Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Lester Ruffner Funeral
Home.
