Joseph “Joe Mama” Boscola, 64, died Nov. 5, 2017 at his home in Lake
Havasu City. Joe passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord.

After serving in the United States Air Force as a security
specialist, he moved to Havasu to embark on a 28-year career as a
firefighter and paramedic. He not only loved serving his community
as a firefighter, but he was also very dedicated to his service at
Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church. Joe especially enjoyed
Sundays where he would greet parishioners before mass.

He also was well known for spending time with his many friends
around town having a beer and dinner at his local hot spots. Joe
knew no strangers. He was kind and compassionate. He always took the
time to care for his family, friends and community. Joe also loved
animals, watching and playing sports, living a healthy lifestyle and
keeping up on current politics. It was no secret he loved Fox News.

Joe was best known for the love that he had for his daughter,
Amanda. He always looked forward to spending summers with his
daughter in Dallas and family in Virginia Beach.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Dolores Boscola.

Joe is survived by his loving daughter Amanda, two sisters, four
nieces, and nine great-nieces and nephews who deeply loved him and
will miss him. Joe was bigger than life and will be sadly missed by
all.

The mass to celebrate Joe’s life is Dec. 2. Rosary is at 9:30 a.m.,
followed by military honors and mass at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the
Lake Roman Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Our Lady of the Lake
Roman Catholic Church or The Humane Society of the United States.

Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
