Walter ‘Lee’ Hunsaker, age 84, passed peacefully on November 30,
2017 with his loving family by his side. Lee was a fourth generation
Arizonan, born and raised in Pine.

He was known for both his physical strength and the strength of his
character. He was a hard-working man who loved his family very much.
He spent his life farming, ranching, and working construction. Lee
had a huge heart and possessed the capacity to love unconditionally.
He was loyal, dependable, compassionate, kind and tender.

Lee cherished his friends and extended family and they all played an
important role in his life, just as he did in theirs.

Lee is survived by Susan, his wife of 59 years, five of his six
children 16 Grandchildren and 27 Great Grandchildren.

Lee was the embodiment of the American Cowboy. He was well-mannered,
rugged, resilient, honorable, and charming. Born a native to
Arizona, at a time when the West was still wild, he was the last of
a generation to be shaped by its simplicity and untainted toil.

The end of Lee’s journey is the end of an era. For his loved ones
the cherished moments spent with him will be forever treasured.
Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS in Pine,
on Saturday December 9th.

‘Family’ Visitation will be held at 10 am for family and close
friends. Funeral Services will start at 11 am.

Burial will follow at the Pine cemetery.
