Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Friday, May 15, 2015 <<< May 15, 1950 — May 3, 2015 Barbara Lynn Higgins passed away May 3, 2015 at Banner Medical Center in Mesa. Barbara had been battling a flu-like malady for a couple of months. She finally succumbed to internal complications. Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, June Rankin; stepfather, Jay Rankin; father, Robert Higgins; grandfather, Lelon Noblitt; grandmother, Elva (Nanny) Noblitt; and ex-husband Don Mills. All but Higgins and Mills were long-term Parker residents. Barbara owned a consignment boutique business for many years and was a member of several social organizations. She was an avid dart player and often voted captain of the team. Barbara was a long-time volunteer at the food bank in Parker. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Joe Ellen Nopal; stepdaughter, Sheryl Riviera; brother, Lelon Rasco (Jeen) of Big River, Calif.; brother, Joe Rasco (Gail) of Yarnell, Ariz.; Doyle Kennedy (Donna) of Ames, Iowa; Uncle Jack Noblitt of Big River, Calif. and many other nieces and nephews. She was fortunate to have raised Nephew Rasco for several years. A celebration of life for Barbara will be at 2 p.m., Sunday at Dumas Walkers in Big River, Calif. |
