| Today's News-Herlad, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Monday, May 11, 2015 <<< >>> Jan. 23, 1927 — April 30, 2015 <<< Betty Fenton, 88 passed away April 30, 2015 she was lovingly taken care of by The Polidori House with family by her side. She was born in Tucson. After a brief marriage to Leonard Smith, she met the love of her life Wayne Fenton, they were wed April 19, 1952; they were married for 53 years. Betty worked briefly at Pacific Bell and at a radio station in Palm Springs. Most of her life, she was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Fenton; parents, Jack and Zana Gardner; sisters, Hazel Siler and Bernice Daniels; brothers, Jack Gardner Jr., Ted and Jerry Daniels; and grandson, Joshua Fenton. Betty is survived by daughter, Dianna (Al) Wymer; sons, Craig Fenton and Ted (Dee) Fenton; brother, Gene Gardner; grandchildren, Jill (Jeff) DeSteunder, Cari Burgess, Crystal (Chase) Ochsner, Cindy (Rufus) Divine, Brandi Taylor, Jessie and Dustin Richards; great- grandchildren, Amanda, Amber, Chelsi, Ashleigh, Maecee, Kailei, Kayden, Gavin, Jaxson, Jordan and Trey; great-great-grandchildren, Brooklynn, Ayden and Bentlee; as well as many nieces and nephews. Betty loved to dance and never stopped until she couldn't two short months ago. She loved being a part of the Singles Club at the Elks. She had a brief stay at Prestige Assisted Living and danced with her dear friend, Gene. Betty liked to write and left her family the gift of her memoirs. She had many friends and will be dearly missed. At Betty's request, there will not be a service other than a small gathering of family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Havasu. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
