Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 <<< Mary Paula Malone, 58, passed away April 30, 2015 in Lake Havasu City. She was born March 7, 1957 in Chicago to Peter and Margaret Steik. Mary was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend who never lost her smile or empathetic view of the problems others were experiencing. Mary wrote a book chronicling many medical problems she and others have experienced, because she wanted to help doctors and patients interact better. She lived a successful life and she was loved by all who knew her. Mary is survived by her husband, Dominic Malone; children, Meghan Callahan, Kristen (Steve) Blake, Anthony (Tera) Malone, Katie (Luke) Portugal and Rebecca (Daniel) Weldner; grandchildren, Liam, Trenten, Mazzy, Milo, Emily, Tyler, Jackson, Kaylee, Dezmond and Camden; siblings, Peter (Susan), Patrick (Karen), Paul (Julie) and Philip (Eileen) Steik and Pamela (Neil) Christell and in-laws, Dominic and Harriett Malone as well as brother-in-law, Wayne (Penny) Malone. She was preceded in death by her parents. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, at Calvary Baptist Church, 1605 McCulloch Blvd., with the Rev. Chad Garrison officiating. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m., Sunday, at Havasu Memorial Gardens. Donations can be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
