The Prescott Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, April 4, 1971, page 2, column 7 William Crites William Crite4s died at the Veterans Hospital at Whipple April 1, 1971. He resided at 225 Navajo Drive at the time of his death. Born February 22, 1900 at Globe, Arizona, he had been a resident of Prescott for the past 50 years and of Arizona most of his life. A miner by occupation, he had mined in copper mines in several Arizona towns. He was a veteran of World War I and is survived by two sons, David Crites of Oxnard, California and Arthur Crites in Viet Nam; six daughters, Miss Sharon Crites of Prescott; Mrs. Christine DeGrott of Everett, Washington, Mrs. Karen Stone of Prescott; Mrs. Lyle Peters of Oxnard, California, Mrs. Betty Jo Hughes of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Mrs. Bille Clark of Brownwood, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Nora Selleck of Scottsdale and Mrs. Luella King of Harper, Kansas; two brothers, Frank of Casa Grande and Charles Hamm of Compton, California; and 23 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Veterans Chapel at Whipple Monday, April 5, at 10 a.m. with interment in the Veterans Cemete4ry. Full military rites will be accorded.
