| Arizona Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Tuesday, June 22, 1909, page 5, column 1 John Fanato Found Dead In Bed At Hotel Was Well Known Miner Of This Section Of County John Fanato (sic) was found dead last night in this city. The cause of death, according to the coroner's jury impaneled by Judge McLane, was due to natural causes. The deceased was a well known miner of this county, and for over fifteen years resided in this section, following the his vocation. He recently worked in the Congress mine, and near that camp had some mining interests upon which he had done considerable work. He came to this city a few days ago to spend the summer, so informing friends. Nothing of value was found on the body, the total cash in his pocket was but eighty cents. Papers in his valise gave him a membership in an Italian Masonic society, as well as that of the McCabe Red Men. He was a man of forty-five years of age, and unmarried. Attendants at the hotel say that he was restless during the twenty- four hours preceding his death, retiring repeatedly, and was addicted to snoring. The condition of this led to an investigation, and his body was found about 8 o'clock with life extinct. Pending the receipt of news from Globe as to what disposition to be made of his body the Ruffner undertaking house is holding the same.
