Gordon Lee Brock, 54, the owner of a private mining claim, the Sunrise Mine, was killed last Saturday afternoon when the tractor he was operating overturned, crushing him.

Brock, of Huntington Beach, Calif., was found by his son, Richard, lying a few feet from the overturned tractor at approximately 4 p.m. when he returned to their mining claim with supplies.

Brock was rushed to the Wickenburg Community Hospital by helicopter, but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The Sunrise Mine is located halfway between Wickenburg and Aguila in an area call Forepaugh.
