Norma A. (Dowin) Harris

Lake Havasu City, Arizona -

Norma A. Harris, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona passed away November 10,
2018 surrounded by family at the age of 92. Norma was born September
16, 1926 in Pontiac, Michigan to Edwin and Hannah Dowin. Norma was
raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut. She was a proud Connecticut State
High School Rodeo Rider and Champion. Norma also enjoyed stock car
driving in her early 20's.

After graduating high school, Norma traveled and lived in a variety of
states including Arizona, Florida, North Carolina, and Montana. Norma
settled in Lake Havasu City about 25 years ago.

As one might guess, Norma loved to travel. Some of her favorite spots
included England, Canada and Mexico. She was proud to say that she had
visited all fifty of the United States. Norma enjoyed watching her
favorite baseball team, the Diamondbacks. She also enjoyed an
occasional trip to the casino to play the slots. Norma spent her
Monday nights with her bowling league. When Norma was not going on
adventures, she thoroughly loved a great book.

Norma was preceded in death by her first husband Robert F. O'Neill
Sr., second husband Stiles S. Harris, parents Edwin and Hannah Dowin,
sister Adriane Castro, grandson Andy Sepelak, and stepsons Hollis and
Christopher Harris.

Norma is survived by her sons Steve (Julie) O'Neill, Robert (Katie)
O'Neill Jr., and Joe O'Neill, daughters Judy Smith, Mary O'Neill,
Kathy Wilson, and Janet (Steven) Carter, brother Richard Dowin and
sister Francis Dufraine, stepchildren Jackie Harris-Warder, Donald
(Patsy) Harris, Daniel (Wendy) Harris and Robin (Marc) Sercomb, her 15
grand children and 10 great-grandchildren.

Donations can be made in Norma's honor to the American Diabetes
Association or to Hospice of Havasu.

There will be a wake to celebrate Norma's life Saturday November 17
from 6-9pm in her home.

Services were entrusted to the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
