| Arizona Republic (Phoenix, AZ) Wednesday, May 17, 1961, p. 45 Funeral services for Byron E. Garretson, 86, who died Sunday in St. Joseph's Hospital, will be at 3 p.m. today in Memory Chapel, A. L. Moore and Sons Mortuary, 333 W. Adams. Dr. Roy L. Bowers and a Masonic funeral committee will officiate. Cremation will follow. Born in Lima, Ohio, Mr. Garretson moved to Phoenix in 1939 from Claremont, Wyo., a former rancher and store owner, he was engaged in the real estate and insurance business here. He lived at 2440 N. 19th Ave. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 18 in Sheridan, Wyo. He is survived by his wife, Grace R.; five daughters, Mrs. John Prior, Sheridan; Mrs. Chris Weber, Great Falls, Mont.; Mrs. C. C. Garwood, Fort Collins, Colo.; Mrs. Frank Lininger, Dallas, Tex.; and Mrs. J. Reilly Cruse, Phoenix; six sons, Robert and Louis, both of Claremont; Woodrow, Sheridan; Mervin, Great Falls; Laurence, Fort Collins; and Byron J., Phoenix; a sister and a brother, 30 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
