Early on the morning of Dec. 6, 2018, Stan Turner, 63, slipped free of his mortal bindings and sailed untethered into the ever-after. Family and friends alike will remember him for his kind spirit, sharp wit, and steadfast loyalty to the people and causes he believed in.

Stan was born in Phoenix to John and Brookwellyn Turner on May 24, 1955, and raised in Glendale. Stan made his living as a graphic designer for newspapers in Lubbock, Phoenix, Sun City and Prescott, and served as Chair of the Yavapai County Democratic Party for several years. Stan was predeceased by his father; son, Neal Bradley Turner; and wives, Mary Wulf and Kris Kaoni Turner. He is survived by his mother; son, Chris Gurnsey (Kimm Tufano); brothers, John and Bart; granddaughters, Sara and Ashlynn; and nephew, Lucas.
