Published in Today's News Herald from Jan. 21 to Jan. 22, 2019 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Ron Lemke of Lake Havasu City passed away from cancer on January 11th, 2019 at the age of 77. Ron grew up on a farm in West Point, Nebraska. He attended Southeast Community College in Nebraska, and later Colorado State University where he earned his teaching credential. He worked all his life in the automotive industry as a mechanic, car dealer, training instructor, and accident investigator for GM, Toyota, and Chrysler. He worked 10 years as the director of General Motors Training Center in Burbank, California and then enjoyed his retirement in Lake Havasu. He was married to his wife Rosemary (Luebbert) Lemke for 57 years. His wife and three children-Christine, Steve, and Ward, were present at the time of his passing. He has four grandsons-Matthew, Michael, Sam, and Bruce. He has one granddaughter Arbis; and one great-grandson Nash. His great loves were his family, computers, and his Triumph motorcycle. He frequently met friends at Starbucks after walking on the island bike path. A private memorial will be held on Saturday, February 2nd.
