Mary G. Cape, 74, passed peacefully in her sleep at home in Prescott, Arizona, on Aug. 7, 2019, from natural causes. Mary was born Feb. 21, 1945, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Albert and Margaret Gloekler.

Mary served many roles in her life, but being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother is where she found joy. She will be remembered for her unconditional love of her family, no-bake cookies and lasagna.

Mary is survived by her husband, Robert Cape; sons, Michael Clark (Dianna), John Clark (Deborah); grandsons, Garrett (Amy), Ryan (Deanna) and Brayden; great-grandsons, Luke and Jaxon; sister, Judy Hatch; brother, John Gloekler (Liz); nieces, nephews, and former husband, Lawrence Clark.

She is preceded in death by her parents; nephew, Robert Neal; cousin, John Hauser; and stepson, Matthew Cape.

A celebration of Mary's life will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, at Ruffner-Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez St., Prescott, Arizona, 86303. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Maggie's Hospice of Prescott, People Who Care, Yavapai Humane Society or any local animal shelter or rescue.
