Wickenburg Sun (Wickenburg, Arizona) Wednesday, November 22, 2023, p. A-6 Jean Blake passed away peacefully on Nov. 1, 2023. Jean was a valued member of the Wickenburg Community for 30 years. She was born in Lorain, Ohio, on Jan. 2, 1931. Jean married the love of her life, Richard Blake, in Ohio and then resided in California before moving to Wickenburg in 1994. Jean volunteered at the Desert Caballeros Museum, the Chamber of Commerce and the Wickenburg Community Hospital. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed her Wednesdays sewing with her friends at the Redeemer Lutheran Church. She spent 30 years with her church community. Jean had two daughters, Nancy and Ginny; a son-in-law, Tom; three granddaughters, Katie, Megan and Cory; and a great-granddaughter, Aurora. Jean lived her life to the fullest. She enjoyed desert life, sunshine and the warm winters. She also loved her beloved Springer Spaniel dogs. Jean was loved by everyone and will be missed. |
