Published by Today's News Herald on Mar. 17, 2024 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Daniel H. Rose, affectionately known as Dan, peacefully departed from this world on March 9, 2024, surrounded by his beloved wife in the comfort of his home. He was born on Sept. 22, 1954, in Globe, Arizona, to Harvey and Carmen Rose. Dan's life was marked by dedication, service, and love. Growing up in Globe, Dan's journey took him to California in 1973, where fate intervened and he met the love of his life, Debbie. Their union was sealed in June 1975, and they returned to Dan roots in Arizona to build a life together. Dan's professional life was a testament to his commitment to helping others. He began his career with the Forest Service on the Globe Hot Shots before transitioning to work underground at Magma Copper Company. In the early 1980s, he pursued further education, attending EMT school and subsequently serving as a volunteer fireman at Canyon Fire Department and assistant fire marshal at Pinto Valley Copper Mine. In 1985, Dan embarked on a new chapter, joining the Lake Havasu City Fire Department, where he worked tirelessly as a fireman/EMT while also pursuing advanced training in paramedic school. He was a pioneer, being a member of the first paramedic class in Lake Havasu. After two decades of unwavering service, Dan retired from the Lake Havasu City Fire Department in 2005 but continued his dedication to helping others by working in ambulance services until 2012. Dan's legacy of love and service extends beyond his professional accomplishments. He leaves behind his faithful wife of 49 years, Deborah Rose, his brother Mike Rose, and his cherished sister, Paula (Scott) Powell, along with numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand- nephews. Dan is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Carmen Rose, his sister Lorraine Rose, and brothers Lon Van Cleve and Tim Van Cleve. As we bid farewell to Dan, we honor his life of service and dedication. May he fly high and rest in peace, for he has truly earned it. A service is scheduled for March 17 at 3 p.m. at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home, 21 Riviera Blvd. |
