Joseph Jackson Heald, known to many as "Jack", set sail on his final
voyage on March 16, 2024.

Born in Nashville, Tennessee on Aug. 12, 1942, Jack was a man of many
talents including fishing, but if you asked him, he'd say his greatest
catch was his beloved late wife, Eleanor. After spending time in the US
Navy aboard the USS Bennington, he made a living in Torrance, CA owning
a glass company for over 30 years. Jack saw the world through a lens of
laughter and love. As Mark Twain once said, "Humor is mankind's greatest
blessing." Jack Heald was indeed a blessed man.

Jack was a dedicated member of the Elks Lodge, where he was always ready
with a joke or funny story. He loved fishing, and his sense of humor was
so infectious, it's rumored even the fish couldn't resist taking the
bait. He was a loving father to his children, Joseph E. Heald (Dena) and
Terri (Tony) Monda, and a kind, caring, compassionate grandfather to
Kristi (Brian) Simich, Kourtney and Kyle Heald, and Nicole Mershimer.

Jack also had four great-grandchildren. His love of country music made
him the life of the party where he could be found always sporting a
sharply pressed collared shirt no matter the occasion.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Catherine, his
wife, Eleanor, and three sisters. He is now reunited with his loved
ones, probably sharing a good laugh and a fishing tale or two.

His life will be celebrated with a service at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home &
Crematory in Lake Havasu on Friday, March 22, 2024, at noon MST at 21
Riviera Blvd. Lake Havasu City, Az. 86403.

As Erma Bombeck wisely said: "When humor goes, there goes civilization."
Jack's humor, fortunately, lives on in the hearts of those who knew and
loved him.
