Melanie Ann (Widing) Heath

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Melanie Ann Heath,
of Wickenburg. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother,
sister, aunt and friend. Melanie passed away peacefully on Nov. 18,
2023, at the age of 82.

Melanie was born in Worcester, Mass. on Sept. 6, 1941. She was the
daughter of Eric and Emily (Simmler) Widing. Growing up, Melanie was an
Ambassador Girl Scout, and attended the National Girl Scouts Round-Up,
held in Colorado Springs in 1959. She was a Rainbow Girl Worthy Advisor
for Holden, Mass., and had the privilege of wearing the Grand Cross of
Color, which is the highest honor of Rainbow. She went on to be an adult
advisor of the Rainbow Girls and held several offices in the Eastern
Star Wachusett Chapter in Holden.

Melanie graduated from Hahnemann Hospital Nursing School in Worcester,
Mass., and was a registered nurse at Holden Hospital for 25 years, and
several other medical institutions in Wickenburg for another 25 years.

Melanie was known for her kindness, compassion and unwavering love for
her family and friends. She had a passion for gardening and crafting and
spent many happy hours building puzzles and playing games and cards.

Melanie is survived by her children, Carlene, Craig, and Clayton; her
sister, Karen, wife of Gerald Hyson; a niece; nine grandchildren, and
three great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all the friends
who knew her. She was predeceased by her husband, Marshall W. Heath; and
her nephew, Hans AJ Hyson.

A memorial service date will take place in Wickenburg in January 2024.
Donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Melanie
Heath's memory.
