Published by Today's News Herald on Mar. 31, 2024 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Lara Lee Nellis-Querry passed away on March 7, 2024 after a long illness. She was born in Long Island, New York on Sept. 30, 1962. She moved to Lake Havasu City in 1973 and remained in Lake Havasu City for much of her life. She always said she loved Lake Havasu City and never wanted to live anywhere else. Lara loved dogs and music. She was an amazing cook and seamstress. She was an avid movie buff and considered the Harry Potter series as one of her all-time favorites. She was always creating crafts and homemade gifts for her grandchildren and family. Her greatest attribute was her wicked sense of humor. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Boyd Querry; her son Logan Steckler (Violet Steckler), her grandchildren Sally, Lilly, and Andrew Steckler; her sisters Lynda Niichel and Lizz Nellis Dailey (Christopher Dailey), her brother Andy Nellis, and her numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
