Wickenburg Sun (Wickenburg, Arizona) Wednesday, January 10, 2024, p. A-6 Jason Allan Hall closed his eyes and opened them in heaven on Dec. 20, 2023. He passed away at the age of 54 at Banner University Hospital in Phoenix after a brief illness. He was a humorous, loving son, nephew, cousin and friend to all who knew him. Jason was born on Oct. 14, 1969 in Phoenix. His family moved to Tempe, Ariz., where he graduated from McClintock High School, class of 1988. After graduation, he enlisted in the U. S. Air Force, serving for seven years from 1989 to 1996, including assignments in South Korea and England. Jason and his parents visited the Hannay Clan castle of Sorbie, his ancestral "home," while stationed in England. After military service, Jason returned stateside and resided in Marietta, Ga. While there, he attended broadcast school. Jason joined and served in the congregation of Clarkdale Baptist Church in Clarkdale, Ga. In 2007, Jason returned to Tempe and worked for a land-surveying company. Upon moving to Wickenburg, he was employed at Bromm's, becoming an "expert" at helping people with auto problems. Most recently, he worked for Community First Home Health Care in Wickenburg. Jason's commitment to service at First Southern Baptist Church in Wickenburg included participating in the Praise Team, utilizing one of his favorite pastimes by playing one of his many guitars. He was also involved in church planting. Jason's other pastimes and organization participation included Maricopa County Sheriff's Department's High Desert Search and Rescue, hunting with friends and family, and the study of Eschatology. Jason is survived by his parents, Allan and Charlotte Hall of Wickenburg. He was predeceased by grandparents Charles and Nadyne Hanna, Herbert and Jackie Hall, and cousin Suriya Hanna. His many aunts and uncles include David and Karen Troiani of Phoenix; David and Joom Hanna of Thailand; Tan (Hanna) Boonsong of Jackson, Tenn.; Chris McGraw of Peoria, Ariz.; Bob and Diane Walker of Sedona, Ariz.; Craig and Sherry Hall of Phoenix; and Adrian and Nancy Hall of Tigard, Ore. Cousins include Alison and Tony Harlan, Melody L. Hanna, Melissa and Ben Woods, Calie McGraw and Junia Defaria, Carlie Page, Bonnie and Kevin Wilson, Trevi and Keith Makal, Megan and Kyle Shelton, and Andrea Hall. Jason's family extends an invitation to his Celebration of Life to be held Saturday, Jan. 27 at 10 a.m. at First Southern Baptist Church of Wickenburg (360 W. Yavapai St.). A reception/lunch will immediately follow. In closing, the family wishes to express heartfelt thanks for all of the prayers offered during Jason's illness and for expressions of love and remembrance in the cards and flowers received. |
