William "Jeffery" Smith

Lake Havasu City, Arizona -

William "Jeffery" Smith was born Sept. 17, 1952 in Phoenix to Zona and
William D. Smith.

As a child, the family resided near Ehrenburg, and Salome. He attended
high school at Army & Navy Academy in Carlsbad, CA. Jeff graduated from
the University of California Santa Barbara with a degree in Electrical
Engineering. After graduation, he returned to Salome and began working
at Southwest Telephone Co. There he met his soulmate, Laura
(Klostermeier) Smith. They married in 1987 and blended their families.
They raised their three children in Salome; spending their free time
jeeping in the desert and boating on Lake Alamo.

The family moved to Lake Havasu City in 1998, where they enjoyed
spending time together and surrounding themselves with their extended
family. Jeff was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Jeff is survived by his three children: Meagan (James) Smith of Lake
Havasu City, AZ, Chad (Sara) Friedle of Sherman, TX, and Ryan (Jenn)
Smith of Gilbert, AZ; six grandchildren: O'rian, Mahlon, Eris, Aiden,
Elise, and Lyssa; brother Buster Smith; mother-in-law Diane
Klostermeier; sister-in-law Tina (Mark) Whitehouse; brother-in-law Donny
(Angie) Klostermeier; brother-in-law Paul Labas; as well as many
extended family and friends.

Jeff was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Laura Smith; mother
Zona Smith Kamrar; father William D. Smith; father-in-law Arlen
Klostermeier; and sister-in-law Nancy Labas.

A private celebration of life will be held for the immediate family.
