LeRoy Watson

Lake Havasu City, Arizona -

LeRoy Watson, Age 85, of Lake Havasu City, AZ passed away on Sunday,
December 1, 2024, at home due to kidney failure.

LeRoy Watson was born on November 24, 1939, in Bakersfield, CA, to Aaron
Russell Watson and Norene Sylvia Bowling. He was a beloved brother to
Patricia Watson Jackson who has survived him.

LeRoy married the love of his life, Beverly Jean Johnson, on April 29,
1961, in Torrance, CA. They shared 63 wonderful years together and built
a beautiful life. They raised two children together, Gordon Leroy Watson
and Melanie Watson McGinnis, who with her husband Randy McGinnis gave
him two incredible grandchildren, Ian McGinnis and Trinitie McGinnis. He
is survived by them all.

LeRoy was a proud alumnus of Gardena High School and Harbor City Junior
College, where he earned an engineering degree.

He worked hard all his life providing a nice home and life for his
family. He lived in several places, including Bakersfield, Fresno,
Compton, Gardena, Lomita, Orange, CA, and eventually retired in Lake
Havasu City, AZ. His passions were water skiing, boating, golfing, and
he was very competitive card player. He always approached life with
integrity, enthusiasm and joy. LeRoy made friends easily and was known
for his great sense of humor, often leaving those around him with a
smile.

A devout Born-Again Christian who loved the Lord with all his heart,
LeRoy was actively involved in his church community.

A celebration of LeRoy's life will be held on January 11, 2025, at 1 pm.
